Originally from the UK, I moved to Qatar to teach high-school English and now specialise in AP English Language for juniors and AP English Literature for seniors. I’m very familiar with the essay rubrics and recent exam prompts. In lessons we mix close reading, planning drills and full timed essays, and I always leave you with a short, specific task to work on between sessions to keep skills sharp.

Hi, I’m an English lit nerd who still enjoys talking about novels after work. I tutor AP English Literature online for students around Qatar, often those who feel they ‘can’t do’ analysis. We start from what you actually think about a character or scene, then shape that into something that fits the rubric. Sessions often finish with a quick timed paragraph or two to track progress.

I lecture in English literature and support a small group of AP English Literature students each year. Shakespeare, modern drama and poetry comparison are the areas I enjoy most.
